About Me

Eliza Waldman is a music teacher in the New York City area. She holds a B.A. in music from Vassar College, where she was also a recipient of the Elisabeth Locke Scholarship in Music, and has studied guitar with the likes of Terry Champlin and Mike DeMicco. She has an extensive background in classical guitar, a deep love for and appreciation of jazz, and currently plays regularly with her touring musical project, Eliza and the Organix, whose music has been featured on over 100 college radio stations around the country.

 

Eliza has been teaching for a decade with schools which include the Meridee Winters School of Music in the Philadelphia area, Jammin' With You and the Birch Wathen Lenox School in the New York City area. She has also coached for programs like The Hochstein School of Music and Dance in Rochester, NY,  NYC Rock Camp and Willie Mae Rock Camp in the New York City area.

 

Eliza teaches private lessons in a diverse range of styles on the guitar, electric bass, drums, ukulele, piano, and voice/vocal coaching and songwriting, as well as coaching her own after-school rock band program. She is also available for Skype lessons and audition prep, and regularly works with students on NYSSMA prep.
